Year 11 ‘Success for all’ evening just around the corner

Come along to find out fantastic techniques to help your child through their exams. (Year 11 - 30/01/2017)

On Monday 6th February, Newark Academy will be holding an event dedicated to supporting students and their parents in preparation for the upcoming exam period.

The evening will run in The Hive from 5pm-7pm and all students and parents in Year 11 are welcome to attend. Throughout the event there will be a number of presentations and workshops. These will include:

• Talks from heads of year on Maths, English and Science
• Course requirements
• Exam techniques
• Revision resources
• Information for parents

And much more!

School Leader, Zulki Jones is running the evening and said:

“We are hosting the year 11 Parent & Pupil ‘Success for All’ evening so parents can gain an insight into how their child is being supported at school with revision and exam techniques and so that they can support them with a range of core study skills which are essential for exam success. In addition, the core departments of English, Maths and Science will be running workshops to give practical advice about revising in their subject.

“As we enter this crucial phase in the run up to the GCSE examinations it is important that we have a continual dialogue with parents, so they understand that we are here to support the success of their child and that they are a crucial part of the process.

“This should be a fantastic and invaluable evening and we are very much look forward to welcoming you to this event.”

Letters will be going out with more information about the events and for parents to select the sessions they would like to attend.
