District Cross Country Championships 2016

Newark Academy shines in Cross Country (Physical Education - 09/12/2016)

Thursday 1st December saw 41 students from year 7 to 10 take part in an amazing District Cross Country event. This year saw a different format by joining with Bassettlaw and Mansfield districts at a combined event at Sherwood Pines.

Students were selected from the 2K run events held in PE lessons earlier in the year. Not only were the students competing for themselves they were also competing as a team.

With Newark Academy qualifying in all age groups we have had our best year yet at the District Cross Country. The year 7 Girls were the outstanding team on the day. The results below are the top two from each group, however many more students have actually qualified for the County Championships!
