SILVER MEDAL WINNERS
The year 7 girls played in the last domestic Netball tournament of the school calendar. WOW!! what a tournament it was! The commitment, attitude and skill shown by all the girls was amazing. Through the first round, played as a round robin league format, the girls shone by winning all four matches; Becket 6 – 0, Toothill 3 – 1, Carlton Le Willows 10 – 0, and Ashfield 9 – 2. An amazing 28 goals scored with only 3 against. This placed us in one of the semi-final matches and were drawn against Fernwood School, we knew that the games were just about to become a lot harder. The girls stepped up to the pressure and played some amazing netball, against a very strong side, finally winning 3 – 0. On to the Gold medal match. Again the competition was strong with some brilliant players. Nottingham Girls High School fielded an exceptionally strong team and came out on top. Year 7 girls are Silver Medal winners! AMAZING!!
An amazing achievement to come second in a very strong competition. Well done girls.
